Future Day – Visiting Steffel for a closer look.

Schoolchildren had an interesting day at Steffel’s headquarters in Lachendorf this year with a little theory and a lot of practical application. There was plenty to do and discover: both in electrical occupations and also in our departments dealing with IT and high-voltage interference. Many thanks go to the boys and girls who were so curious and showed so much interest in cathodic protection. We’re looking forward to the next group of children coming through in 2020.

Things are progressing rapidly with the PIAMO project.

Steffel is substantially involved in the PIAMO project, and there is good news to report on its progress. The joint project undertaken by Steffel and Mannesmann Line Pipe called PIAMO (Pipeline Attack Monitoring) serves to reliably analyze CP and acoustic signals so that damage to pipelines can be detected early. Steffel is developing a software module for this purpose that will be integrated into the new generation of ISM2010 CP station modules. The good news is that three quarters of the development work has now been completed.

Steffel again takes part in “Rowing for Cancer”.

Being active is twice as much fun if you can get involved in a sporting event for a good cause.
