If transported media such as petroleum, natural gas and water are to flow without problems, then reliable protection against the damage that corrosion causes is absolutely vital. Every instance of damage to a pipeline carries with it twin dangers: the loss of valuable resources, of course, but damage of this kind also poses a threat to people and the environment. That&#8217;s why using cathodic protection to prevent corrosion is important.
